Almada Velha - A Monochrome view

Fuji X100f

Once in a while, I have to take a "photographic" walk with one of the most beautiful photo cameras in the market, the Fujifilm X100f.

I Decided to go for this walk in one of the oldest suburbs of Almada, called Almada Velha (Old Almada) dating back to 1192 from the Arab Conquest.

This walk was done last December while I was on my yearly Holiday for Christmas.

This suburb has to have one of the nicest views of Lisbon, especially at night. It is simply gorgeous.

This walk I decided to use the ACROS settings of FUJI as I think it is a great film simulation for such an old historic neighbourhood.

San Diego - California

Need some more time

All my business trips are very crammed and intense. I definitely need to plan better in the future to have some more time to get to know the cities I go to.

Back in June, I went to San Diego, California for another conference, this time for cisco.
As always it is always intense conferences with lots of back to back meetings, presentations, networking, etc....

Then, I need to take a break and visit the city, and.... no time left.

This time I took 3 hours and walked around downtown San Diego with my Fuji x100f to take some photos.

I quite enjoyed San Diego, but the amount oh homeless people and some "crazy" dudes, is quite overwhelming.

Houston - We have no problem

1 Day in Houston

Another business trip, this time to Houston, Texas.
Had to take some time from my business trip to walk some streets of Houston with my Fuji X100f.

It is as everybody says. A Texan city with massive tall buildings, well everything is big in this city, including the vehicles that people drive around this town.

This visit was back in March this year where the weather was quite hot.

Lisbon by Night

Night Photography

One of my favourite things to do in photography is to do night photography. For me, it is a relaxed way to show the world the scene we are seeing at the same time it feels that time stops or is at least slower.

This time I went to the northern part of Lisbon called Expo or Parque das nacoes, for a couple of photos and took my family with as they wanted to walk with me. This, once again, on a visit home from a business trip.

Lisbon's South Margin

Trafaria and Cacilhas - Enormous potential

Every time I come home (remember I work and live in Maputo, Mozambique) I always take some time to do photo walks and enjoy the local scenery.

This time I decided to visit two places of which have enormous potential to be built up into beautiful touristic keeping at the same time the historic value they both have.

First I went to Trafaria, a local village that feels like it stopped in time with little or none development. This time I saw some rehabilitation to some roads and its "beach"front.
It was a quick walk as I wanted to go to Cacilhas to see how it is doing.
