Catembe - South Side of the Bay

Catembe

Catembe lies on the south side of the Umbuluzi river bank from Maputo. We can reach Catembe by ferry which takes about 5 min. (smaller ones) or about 10 min with the big ferry.

We decided to go for Sunday lunch with a couple of friends and relax there watching the beautiful view of Maputo.

It was our first time there and, apart from the dirty beach of which we have to walk to get to our restaurant, the views are just fabulous.

Took my Fuji X70 and made some really nice photos of this beautiful Sunday.

Maputo street walk - 24th April

A Quick photo walk

Yesterday morning was such a great morning start I picked up my FUJI X70 and decided to go for a walk. 

This time I tried to focus more on a documentary side of photography, trying to show the not so touristic side of Maputo. 

Compared to the day before where the temperature reached 42ºC, the temperature was about 26ºC just fine for a relaxed walk.

Colourful World - Fuji X70

Colour View

Yesterday we went again to the beach in Macaneta which is the closest clean beach in Maputo. The weather was sunny and hot reaching 42ºC. This time I decided to make some photos in colour (check my Monochrome View blog post) of the same beach, using my FUJI X70.

To go to Macaneta Beach, we have to cross the river by taking the Barge. Always an experience as we do not know if it will get there. very very old Barge.
