Hlane Royal National Park - Swaziland

A Weekend at the Royal National Park

All photos made with the amazing FUJI X-T1 or the FUJI X100T.

Last June we decided to spend the weekend in Swaziland, namely at the Hlane Royal National Park.

It was the first time my wife and son went to Swaziland, which the park is only about 130km from Maputo.

We saw lots of Elephant, Rhino, Giraffes but no Lions. Maybe next time.
Hlane Royal National Park, is home to the largest herds of game in the Kingdom, encompasses 22,000 hectares of Swazi bushveld dominated by ancient hardwood vegetation. Home to Lion, Elephant, White Rhino, Giraffe and a whole host of other species.

The park has two rest camps: Ndlovu and Bhubesi. We slept over at Bhubesi, complete calmness and silent overlooking the River (dry season). Bhubesi is located 14km from Ndlovu Camp and can be accessed by self-driving through the parks internal roads. The camp encapsulates six self-contained and self-catering beautiful stone cottages with all the comforts of home, including electricity.
