A Day in Barcelona

Quick Photo walk

Decided to take an afternoon from my schedule (IT Channel Forum) and go for a street photo walk in one of my favourite cities in Europe, Barcelona.

Obviously I took the touristic route as I did not have enough time and I wanted to see different cultures, in one place and nothing better than starting at "Las Ramblas" and go from there.

The only sad thing about this whole trip was that 3 days before my Trip, we were robbed (once again) in Maputo, Mozambique where the F#£^$%§ took a whole lot of electronic equipment including my Beloved FUJI X100T, which, for me is the best (and most beautiful) street camera in the world.

Anyway I packed my no less wonderful FUJI X-T1 with the XF35mm and XF10-24mm for this trip.

Please see and enjoy the photos in full screen mode.

Maputo Street Views IV

Another Sunday Afternoon photo walk

Today I decided to take the wife and son for an Afternoon street photography walk.
It was a nice 4km walk where I could make some nice photos of Maputo's city life on a Sunday Afternoon.

It is the end of winter (if there ever was, as we have been to the beach and swim right through the winter) and the temperature was about 25ÂșC, but we still see people with thin jerseys on.

I just cannot get over the beautiful palm trees, that make the scenery just amazing.

Street markets - vendors

Whereever you go in Maputo there is a street vendor or market where you can buy just about anything you want.

Salted and dried fish

Today I discovered salted and dried fish, where a very friendly gentleman came over to us and said that it is not our (PORTUGUESE) COD fish, but very similar process of "curing" the fish.

The gentleman was so friendly that I made his portrait and offered him a print using my FUJI INSTAX SHARE-SP1.

Another hit, as he was literally laughing with happiness with this offer. Once again thank you FUJI for bringing this wonderful tool to the market.

The mangoes are growing nicely as this photo demonstrates

The Wedding guest

As I was going to frame another photo, a young man started to pose for me in the middle on the street. Wonderful and friendly, so I called him and made these beautiful portraits.

Victory Day - Long Weekend

Relaxed long weekend by the beach

Most of my photos made with the amazing FUJI X-T1 or the FUJI X100T.

The view from our balcony
Last weekend Mozambique celebrated the 7th September holiday which marks the signature of Mozambique independence from Portugal in 1974 signed in Luzaka, Zambia.

We decided to take a couple of days off and go (for the first time) to Praia da Rocha, which lies about 5 km south from Tofo beach.
It is a small bay beach with a developed estate where one can hire beautiful beach chalets.

We left Maputo at 06h00 and took us 7 hours to do the 550km to Tofo as we were 4 adults and 6 children.

Arrived at our chalets at about 13h00 exausted but, when we saw our chalet, we suddenly got an energy rush.

5 days of fun

During our daily walks

It was a fun filled 5 days full of activities as one can see from the photos, we had to climb beautiful dunes to go swim at the beautiful turquoise coloured waters of the sea. Always warm compared t our home town on Lisbon, Portugal.

Beautiful Faces

Inhambane Province

All photos made with the amazing FUJI X-T1 or the FUJI X100T.

Last weekend was a long weekend, therefore we decided to go and visit (for the first time) Inhambane Province, still considered South of Mozambique but it is about 550km from Maputo.
We stayed in Praia da Rocha which is about 5km from Tofo.
Simply beautiful beaches.

This post is about the beautiful children (faces) I had the privilege of making the photos I am sharing here today.

The following photos were made on a small stretch of road that we had to take to get onto the chalet overlooking the beach.
